Certified Tutor

I am currently a second year graduate student at Arizona State University in the communication disorders program and hold a master's degree in early childhood education from Tufts University. I am interested in tutoring elementary children in pre-reading, reading and/or writing skills over the summer and into the fall if needed. I taught preschool for five years while living in Boston, and have tutored elementary students in reading for five years as well. I have tutored both privately and while working at Tufts University's Center for Reading and Language Research. I have helped elementary-aged children with dyslexia improve their reading fluency and comprehension as well as children with intellectual disabilities and other reading difficulties. This year, I worked as a speech language pathologist assistant in Tempe elementary schools, and was able to incorporate literacy elements into my therapy, as well as direct reading instruction. I am excited to tutor this summer and fall and look forward to meeting your son or daughter!
