I began my academic journey at community college where I identified how important small class sizes and individualized attention in math and science was to my success in college. I then transferred to a large university in Southern California where I was challenged by large class sizes and no academic support. It was during that time that I had to seek out outside resources to pass my courses. Over the course of my education I had the experience of taking education courses as well as earning a Bachelor's degree in chemistry. Along side my chemistry knowledge, traveling and studying abroad in England and West Africa, I am most certain I want to become a professor in chemistry and train and develop the next generation of scientist that is relate-able and understanding for all backgrounds.
Undergraduate Degree: San Diego State University - Bachelor in Arts, Chemistry

I enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures especially food. One of my most recent interest has been to visit a museum once a month to learn about the arts, history, etc.
