I am undergraduate at the University of Texas at Dallas. I am working to receive my bachelors in Neuroscience. I have never tutored before but here is what tutoring means to me. You have a box of chocolates that were bought from Walmart and you didn't expect them to be that good but, you went ahead and ate them anyway because you're craving chocolates. When you take your first bite, you toss them out because they are disgusting. On the other hand, say you were craving chocolates, and you thought about the creamy, crisp, sweet chocolate you're about to devour from Walmart. You later take a bite of these chocolates at home, and they taste exceptionally better than you thought. This is like when I was examining my coursework. I expected the materials that made up the courses I disliked to be much harder than the courses I liked. Therefore, my expectations could have shaped my experiences of the courses I didn't enjoy by doing worse. So, I always try to find some way I can enjoy studying the material in a course even if I don't like it to begin with.
