Certified Tutor

I attended Virginia Commonwealth University for both of my degrees. I have a Bachelors of Science in Sociology and a Master's in Teaching. My philosophy of teaching is that every child can learn. Each child learns differently so it is important to make a personal connection with each student to discover how he or she learns best. I am a middle school social studies teacher and am knowledgeable in many areas of history. My favorite subject to tutor is history! My favorite history subject is world history. I also enjoy tutoring United States history. I have experience tutoring world geography, United States history, and world history. I facilitate an after school academic support program at my school. I look forward to working with Varsity Tutors and assist students in discovering the best plan of action for success!
