My name is Allan Oduor and I am a 26-year-old living in Greensboro, North Carolina. In the past, I was part of mentoring and outreach program that went out to middle schools in order to mentor the youth. During this time I got the chance to give the kids presentation of basic life skills such as stress management, building better study habits, and becoming better communicators. In addition to this, we would occasionally bring in science demos to share with them. It was during this time I realized that I have an inclination to be an educator. Although it is not the career path I choose to take at this point in my life, I do enjoy teaching. Since then I have tutored my 8-year-old brother in elementary school, and more recently students here at North Carolina A&T State University. I signed up for Varsity Tutoring because I'd like to carry on with this passion of teaching and also help learn and understand various concepts of Math and Science.
