A summary of my 17-year professional experience includes post-secondary education administration, non-profit marketing and volunteer relations, girl and adult training, girl-centered program development, small business ownership, coaching high school athletics, and teaching middle school. These experiences have afforded me a great understanding of a values-based mission, effective communications, and positive mentorship and teaching methods.
In addition to my business communication skills, I have depth in education-based programming. Beginning as early as my pre-college years, I have spent a lot of time teaching others, which in turn has enriched me. A few memorable highlights are when I became a Park Ranger at Mt. Rushmore, taught Muslim women how to swim, and taught sport camps to underprivileged youth. I designed church-youth weekend programs, assisted in multi-county programming for girl and adult events, tutored elementary students in a before-school program, trained adult volunteers, and served as a volunteer with numerous community organizations, coached high school athletics and more recently taught middle school English and a variety of other subjects.
I realize to some, my qualifications might appear broad and distinct, but they are very much in line with being a communicator and educator who can meet the select needs of various students. I excel in business and administrative tasks and can teach and lead both children and adults in a variety of environments. Bottom line, I work well with others, motivate and lead both children and adults, and take initiative to learn new skills to fit the ever-changing demands of each role I'm in.
