I'm a student at Columbia University, studying Sustainable Development and urban adaptation to climate change. I've always had a passion for teaching, and currently teach pre-college math with Columbia University's Community Impact program, for non-traditional adult learners. Before coming to New York I apprenticed in the Ohio Public Schools, and worked in outdoor education. I'm driven by the spark of realization I get to see on my students' faces when a new concept snaps into place, and I'm excited about demystifying math and highlighting how it's at work in the world around us.
