Certified Tutor

I am currently studying to become a mathematics teacher. I aspire to tutor and teach to not only help people learn, but to enjoy the process as well.
I always say that math is just a few applications, like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, which are hidden inside of intimidating formulas and rules. If you know how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, you can learn anything in math. I believe math is intimidating to people because of its cumulative format, but although mastering an area of math may require knowledge of a different area of math, it's quite easy to back-track to where exactly one got lost.
I believe I can provide the knowledge and motivation for students to understand and enjoy math. With a background of being a captain of a swim team, I relate to many people on different levels, and allows me to further understand people's struggles. Once we can find a root to the issue, I am determined to fix it!
