Certified Tutor

I have a BA in Chemistry from Harvard University and an MS in Biomedical Science from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I am currently a medical student at University of Florida College of Medicine in pursuit of my MD degree. During my time in college and graduate school, I have been involved in several education and public service programs. I have extensive tutoring, teaching, and mentoring experience through working and/or directing for afterschool and summer school programs, as well as being a private tutor. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, some of my favorite subjects to tutor include math, biology, chemistry, and standardized tests (ACT, SAT, and GRE). I have substantial tutoring experiences in all grade levels (K-12, college, and graduate school). Also, I am a strong advocate of the impact that proper and thorough educational instruction can have on a student's success in and out of the classroom. Patience, repetition, and building confidence are at the core of my teaching philosophy. I am very patient with the students I work with; I encourage practice and repetition of the foundational concepts of a subject; and I aim to instill in the students that I work with confidence in their ability to succeed and work towards their educational goals no matter their prior experiences.
