Certified Tutor
I am a second year student at the University of Washington working towards my Bachelor of Science degree in Bioresource Science and Engineering. I have always found satisfaction in seeing people I teach understand those concepts and love to see the faces of students when they understand a concept they couldn't have until then and the confidence they get from it. I primarily teach primary-school level mathematics and Japanese. I am a native Japanese speaker who has attended the Seattle Japanese School for 12 years and can listen, speak, write, and read fluently.
Outside of teaching, I love to participate in school clubs, outdoor activities such as hiking, cook (once in a while), and just enjoy every opportunity I get!
I believe that every student has the capacity to learn and that with enough practice and confidence building, they can eventually increase their understanding and feel confident in what they are doing. I hope to be a support during this process and help students develop by guiding them in the right direction and helping them with my knowledge and experience so that they will not need me eventually.
