Certified Tutor

My name is Clarke Hinds. I am a passionate educator who has taught and tutored in many places around the world. I am dedicated to facilitating learning and adhere to true commitment in everything I do.
I first discovered my love for education in my senior year of high school. This led me to pursue my degree in Secondary Education (English) at Buffalo State Collage in Buffalo, New York. In Buffalo, I taught and tutored in inner city schools, charter schools, and magnet schools for a year.
After teaching in Buffalo, I decided to travel abroad, because I also have a deep passion for traveling, learning foreign languages and experiencing new cultures. I ended up in Sierra Leone, West Africa, where I taught for two years and facilitated extra curricular activities at my school such as IT training for students and teachers, drama, music, sports and after school tutoring. After leaving Sierra Leone, I went to China to teach at an ESL school. I spent two years there, working with students ages 3 to 18 in both one on one and classroom settings. There I learned Mandarin and further developed my teaching approach and pedagogical reasoning. I look forward to working with new and eager students who wish to accomplish learning goals they have set for themselves.
