Certified Tutor

I am currently a junior at the University of Maryland- College Park. My major is math and secondary mathematics education, with a minor in LGBTQ+ studies. Math has always been a passion of mine and I've discovered that I love teaching as well! I've taken several education classes in my two years at UMD, where I've learned a lot about inquiry based teaching. This method of teaching helps a lot with math because inquiry teaching leaves students guessing and wondering about content, so they come back just a little more interested than they were before. Currently, I'm in Brooklyn (my home) for spring break, but will be returning back to campus soon.

Outside of math, my biggest passions are baking and creative writing. I write stories in my spare time, mostly fiction, but I also write essays on topics or literature that I'm particularly interested in. I am also looking into volunteering, when I have breaks from school, at an animal shelter because I love animals!
