My education background includes both engineering and MBA degrees. I graduated from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. As a graduate student at UCLA, I was a teaching assistant (TA) for an introductory fluid mechanics course, leading a homework/ concept discussion session weekly with about 20 undergrads enrolled. I also received a MBA degree from Xavier University (Cincinnati) through a corporate on site program. I have been working in the aerospace engineering field for about 20 years and part of my job, based on my experience, is to mentor young engineers. My engineering expertise is in fluid mechanics and heat transfer, but I feel that my engineering work and background will lend itself to both mathematics and physics. In my experience, repetition and practice problems is a good way to better your understanding of difficult subjects, a kind of "use it or lose it" attitude. Some of my other interests include watching sports at my kids' games and on TV, reading, and also coaching youth soccer. I am excited to use my industry engineering knowledge to bring about a great tutoring experience.
