Teaching runs deep in my blood. My family has been involved in education for generations. I was fortunate to have a teacher as a mother. I have always endeavored to include elements of teaching in everything I do, from actual classroom jobs to various leadership roles.
I graduated from college with a degree in business law and in music. Since then, I have served my community as a librarian several times and volunteered as a substitute teacher. I have also served as a leader in marching bands and college campus organizations.
Most of my background is in writing and editing. I have edited everything from short essays to novels, and while I am an expert in it, I also enjoy the work greatly. I have also written and published novels of my own.
