Certified Tutor

I completed my undergraduate degree in writing at Ithaca College; three years later I earned my MFA from Emerson Colleges graduate writing program. During my time at both Ithaca and Emerson, I entered the occupation of writing tutor for my peers, and Ive committed to the role ever since. Further work experience at the Huntington Learning Center has expanded my knowledge from college-level academia to elementary, middle and high school curricula in English and writing. Over the last two years, Ive extended to exam prep for the SAT and ACT, which has seen success among students who came in with doubts and anxieties and left with widened horizons and earned confidence.

My specialty and passion has remained with writing. Writing carries an important weight in our lives, whether in an essay for AP English, a lab report for biology, a personal statement for a college application, a story or script for a portfolio, or a resume and cover letter for a job application.
