I am a recent graduate of Bowling Green State University with my Bachelor Of Science in Communication Disorders. I have five years combined experience when it comes to working with young children-adolescents and am eager to continue my tutoring experience through Varsity Tutors! I enjoy working with individual and small groups of children to reinforce new skills introduced to students in the classroom in ways that are simple, easy to remember, and fun. As you will see in my resume, I am well-versed in:
Creating and completing classroom documents
Utilizing appropriate language, interactions and positive discipline
Interacting with various young children from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
My areas of specialty include elementary/middle school reading and comprehension, along with essay editing. I believe that teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. ALL children are able to be taught, despite their differences. One of my hopes as a tutor is to instill a love of learning in those students I come across, as I share my own passion for learning with them. I feel there is a need for compassionate, strong, and dedicated individuals who are excited about working with children. I am such a person and will always strive to be the best tutor that I can be.
