Certified Tutor

I started in business with a degree in management and marketing. I worked as a manager and/or supervisor in several different fields and mostly worked with young adults. I decided to return to school to become a teacher because I saw a void in education foundation. While in the teaching profession, reading comprehension and
English mechanics abilities stood out as a missing skill. It became my passion to help improve these skills so I concentrated on teaching these subjects.
I taught at the elementary and high school levels for about 8 years then taught reading and composition writing at a local junior college. I have a military background so I teach with a firm hand. Learning cannot take place if there is no discipline.
I enjoy helping people and presently, I work as a Small Business Advisor and try to help people, young and older, start and grow their own businesses.
Outside of work I love to play Sudoku, spend time with family and enjoy being a great grand mother. I am also taking a self teaching course to relearn Spanish.
