Certified Tutor
I am currently pursuing my masters in Creative Writing in Fiction at Saint Mary's College of California, where I also teach English Composition and tutor at the Center for Writing Across the Curriculum.
Writing is what I do, what I love, and teaching it to others is my passion. That passion allowed me to graduate from the University of Washington with a 3.97 GPA and receive writing awards for my academic and creative work. I strive to share that enthusiasm and pursuit of excellence with my students. My goal is to help students become independent thinkers and learners, able to handle even the most difficult assignments without feeling overwhelmed. Good grades on individual assignments is not the goal, only a byproduct of the work done in sessions which result in clear, thoughtful, well-researched writing across disciplines for a variety of audiences and purposes. I specialize in high school, college, and non-traditional students who need help improving their writing in any capacity. I try to make sessions as fun and engaging as possible while working seriously on the task at hand. In my spare time I love writing science fiction, reading, traveling, petting the occasional cat, and playing baseball.
I'm always open and available for questions, so send me an email and let me know how I can help!
