Certified Tutor

I am a current undergraduate honors student at Hofstra University. I am working towards receiving my BA in English Education, with minors in history and creative writing. I am pursuing my degree in English Education in order to become a high school English teacher. I am passionate about literature, and want to share my excitement with students. I tutor in almost all things English, including reading, writing, and test prep. My personal favorite thing to tutor is essay editing, because I love to see students' thoughts on certain subjects, and explore their writing styles.

My personal favorite books include 'The Great Gatsby', 'A Tale of Two Cities', and 'The Catcher in the Rye'. I spend most of my free time reading classics I haven't covered yet, or writing what I hope to be the next great American novel!

Literature is how people share ideas and stories in fresh ways, and there are always new things to notice in even the oldest readings. And of course, writing is perhaps the most precise and sometimes personal way to communicate. The world needs good writers in all fields. I want to help students become the best readers and writers they can be, so that there are only open doors for them looking ahead. I accomplish this through patience, practice, and a flexible teaching method that allows students to take charge of their education.
