Certified Tutor

I am a teacher who is certified in all core subjects for grades 4 through 8, Special Education, and English as a Second Language. I am eager for the opportunity to tutor you or your student, because I feel that small group instruction is the single best tool in increasing understanding. I love lesson design and as your tutor, I will be sure to work with you to create lessons that you find both engaging and effective.

I have taught in Houston for the past three years. Prior to becoming an educator, I worked at an educational outreach program that promotes literacy throughout the greater Houston community and I was a teaching assistant for PSYC 101 at Rice. These varied experiences have given me a holistic approach when it comes to tackling misunderstandings and ensuring that all students feel confident, valued, and successful.
