In 2011, I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Masters of Arts in Teaching. Prior to that, I received a Bachelors of English with minors in Education and Japanese. After graduation, I was accepted into the JET Programme, a government-run program that invites people from all over the world with at least a Bachelors to teach English at various public schools across Japan. I taught English to kindergarten through 9th-grade students for four years before coming back to America. I can help with reading, writing, and comprehension skills when it comes to English, as well as help prepare for tests and develop useful studying habits. I use a lot of modeling, scaffolding, and I take the time to learn about those I will be tutoring to better help them.
I am currently a substitute teacher in various districts such as CUSD, OUSD, and HBUHSD, but I am applying to many more as well. If you're a junior high school or high school student, who knows, maybe you'll have seen me around your campus. :)
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, drawing, and playing video games (helps me stay in the know with what students are doing these days, and it's just fun!). I'm here to help!

Reading, drawing, gaming, listening to music, watching movies, and walking my dog. My favorite author is Philip Pullman, but I absolutely adore Stephen King's The Dark Tower series. I have a Shiba Inu (who I brought back with me from Japan) named Koebi. My favorite games are Zelda (Breath of the Wild as of now), Chrono Cross, and The Last of Us.
