What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is that everything is a puzzle that can be solved through logic. Sometimes it just takes a new perspective to solve the puzzle.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

Introduce myself and learn what the student wishes to gain from my tutoring. I would also set up a tutoring plan so each lesson is not time wasted.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

By teaching the student how to think and research on their own.

Positive compliments and a "you can do it" attitude.

Break the concept down into a more simplistic form.
