Leonardo: Zion tutor
Certified Tutor
I'm very dedicated in learning and applying what I learn to help those that struggle. I enjoy teaching my friends when they're stuck on a problem or have to study for a big test/exam. They say I'm a good teacher and I introduce the material very well to those who are a beginner to the course or are advanced at the material.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I like to think that no matter how much time it takes students to learn the material, every student is capable of enjoying what they are learning and become very proficient in it.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I'll make sure they are comfortable with me and the material so they don't feel like they can't apply themselves while learning.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I would guide them through the problem. Then once they feel comfortable, I will slowly introduce them to actual practice problems. Eventually, when they feel comfortable, they will demonstrate the material by explaining it back to me in a way they understand it.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Motivation about learning is the most important thing in order to keep focus on what you're studying. By motivating and slowly giving them certain goals to meet with fun exercises!
