I am a composer, instrumentalist, poet and educator in Seattle who is deeply passionate about the arts. I am constantly inspired to create and organize with sound and language in new ways; in an attempt to explore and express the limitless spectrum of the human experience.
There are few things on earth more foundational than the arts, and as an educator I feel privileged to share my deep interest and appreciation with my students on a daily basis. There is nothing that brings me more joy then helping others attain the skills and tools needed to properly express themselves.

What is your teaching philosophy?
In the world of education, it is important to recognize that everyone learns differently and there is no universally prescribed teaching method that works for all students. Everyone must find how he or she learns best, and as a private teacher I acknowledge this and have an excellent opportunity to individualize sessions-- fitting them for each student's needs. Anyone can find success with a subject if they are able to approach it from an angle that works for them.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
During the first lesson, I like to start off with introductions and establish current struggles and future goals. It's always important to be working towards something greater than just the assignment at hand. After this, we would then dive into the current topic which the student needs assistance with. This often involves a dialogue about the topic as well as going over specific assignments.
