What is your teaching philosophy?

Work problems with students and help students understand concepts.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

Figure out what students want to work on.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

Point the student in the right direction. Let them know what is important and which sections of the book will be useful to read. Get the student interested in subject.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

Explain to them what they learn in school is very useful in real life.

If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?

Try to come from a different angle; give them real-life examples. Solve many problems with them.
