One of the major benefits of teaching a foreign language to others is the ability to incorporate contemporary issues into grammatical lessons, which gives the student a better understanding of both the culture and grammar in the target language. Many of my teaching methods include news clippings and videos to attain the full interest of the student while implementing many different grammar exercises in order to ameliorate the language capacity of the student. In order to fully engage a student into learning a foreign language, one must provide speaking and dictation exercises to blend with writing and grammar.

In a first session, I would want the student to bring all the materials they use in their classroom. Every textbook has a different way of conveying a lesson plan, and it is essential to be familiar with any tools the teacher might implement in their classroom setting. After this, I usually start by addressing the needs of the student. For example, what does the student need help with in a particular chapter? What grammatical concept do they have trouble with? Once the problem is determined, I will create grammar exercises that follow the book.

One must engage the student's learning process by providing topical issues that they can relate to. For example, if the student follows the presidential election, a teacher should use foreign language newspaper articles that cover the election. By building a student's interest, they become engaged independently.

I always provide challenging materials that show the student that the learning process is never finished.

I like to explain the concept slowly with repetition until the student perfects the problem. Providing endless exercises is important as well.

I like to use repetition of concepts that are difficult for the student. Developing a personalized lesson plan is also important.

I like incorporating contemporary issues that show why the student must understand this particular subject.

Repetition through visual learning. The student must then perform the task without help from the instructor.

I show them their successes and things they do well at in order to promote a desire to learn.

By looking at a student's result from previous quizzes, homework assignments, or tests, I can then narrow the lesson plan to fit the needs of the student.

One must look at the strengths/weaknesses from previous assignments in order to adapt to the student's needs.

I use renowned grammar books, textbooks, online resources, and sometimes PowerPoints or YouTube videos.

I have the student first read the question, then they must look for target words within the paragraph that match the question.
