Learning a new language can be quite confusing and frustrating! With over 7 years of German education and a Bachelors of Arts in German language and literature, International Relations, and a minor in history, I have learned several tricks, acronyms, and fun tips to make learning German not only easier, but also more interesting and enjoyable.
As a daughter of Polish political refugees, I understand how difficult/confusing it can be trying to not only understand a foreign language, but also convert one's thoughts from their native language to another. I can help students find similarities between English, German, and even Polish to help learning the new language much easier.
Due to the fact that both Polish and English are my native language (I was exposed to both since birth), I've grown to not only understand, but also appreciate the fine details in grammar that enable people to coherently understand one another. I am more than happy to help students improve in their English and/or German grammar as well!
Aside from my educational background and love for languages, my passion is rooted in martial arts. I have a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and black belts in Choi Kwang Do and Hup Kwon Do. Additionally, I have trained in other styles. In my 12 years of martial arts training, I have taught students ages 3-63 and enjoy every minute of it! If anyone is ever interested in martial arts, whether it be simple self defense techniques just to feel safer on the streets, or pursuing a long-term goal of achieving a black belt, I would be extremely delighted to help students reach their goals!!
