I currently attend medical school, getting my Master's in Surgical Assisting and I received my undergraduate degrees in Biology and Philosophy from Virginia Wesleyan College. My interest in the subjects that most students have difficulty with makes what I have to offer essential. Being able to teach a student to have an understanding of the work given to them so that they can be successful in any educational subject is one of the most rewarding things I have done in life. The fundamentals of subjects are what I have the capability to teach so that students will forever have a complete understanding.
In my free time I love to draw or play basketball. I was a collegiate athlete so I like to stay active now that I am no longer playing basketball at a competitive level. I also love animals so I am either playing with my fianc's dog Peaches or visiting my family to spend time with them and the family pets Diesel, Diamond, and Reign.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is that everything can be broken down into small, easy concepts that will be remembered for a lifetime.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a first session with a student, I would try to develop a relationship with them, finding out their likes, dislikes, and who they are as a person before I find out who they are as a student.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Finding out what sparks a child's interest and relating that interest to the subject they struggle with is something that I take pride in. This interest will allow the children to want to continue to learn more on their own.
