Hello future students and parents!
If you're looking for a great ESL or TOEFL Prep tutor, look no further! I have extensive experience teaching English to all age groups and levels.
In May, I will be graduating with a master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Kent State University. At the start of my degree, I was awarded a graduate assistantship, which granted me the opportunity to teach twelve intensive ESL courses over a two-year span. I currently serve as an ELL tutor at a local Ohio school district. Additionally, I have worked at a New York City-based international English camp for their past five programs. I held the positions of ESL Instructor and Program Coordinator. My passion for teaching English and cultural exchange eventually led me to Russia. While there, I taught English to kindergarteners and adolescents. Furthermore, I have worked with English language learners from a myriad of countries, including Saudi Arabia, China, Brazil, Russia, and Mexico. Therefore, I understand and appreciate the importance of being culturally sensitive to a student's heritage. Please, take a look at my resume to see more details on my academic background and teaching experience.
On a personal level, I am a patient, caring, and social individual. I am originally from New York, and I am first-generation American. Having immigrant parents, and having been surrounded by the wonderful, diverse people of NYC is what helped me find my passion in teaching English. ESL education and cultural exchange are career paths that I have gladly chosen for myself. I look forward to our tutoring sessions!

What is your teaching philosophy?
Teaching English as a second language is my field of study, my career path, and my job. It is much more than that; it is my passion. Therefore, when I teach, I do so whole-heartedly and with dedication. My goal as an educator is to ensure that every lesson I facilitate will help my students on the path to success. I believe that every student deserves the chance to be able to grow within our globalized economy and not get left behind due to race, origin, sex, religious, political, or economic status. In other words, knowing English can lead to greater opportunities, and I want to be able to help others become successful. Especially those who would have difficulties achieving this success on their own.
