Certified Tutor
My name is Brandon. I am from San Diego, California and I have found that learning makes me happy. When I am learning new things and mastering new concepts and skills, my sense of contentment is higher, I feel accomplished, and I have a healthier sense of self-worth.
What I want more than anything is to impart that sense of fulfillment to others. Whether I am teaching in a classroom, tutoring difficult concepts, showing my daughter how to tie her shoes, or just interacting with those in my daily life, I live for those "ah-ha!" moments when a hurtle is overcome and a new idea takes shape.
Come join me! We can learn from each other, have "ah-ha!' moments together, and work toward being more complete individuals.

What is your teaching philosophy?
"If he is indeed wise he does not bid you enter the house of his wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold of your own mind." -Khalil Gibran My teaching philosophy is that teaching does not truly exist and everything must be learned by volition, therefore it is the function of a teacher to facilitate self-learning!
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
My first session with a student I like to learn a little bit about my student as an individual so that he or she can feel comfortable working with me. I then like to let my student tell me about his or her goals and obstacles. I then like to work toward figuring out what my student already knows and feeling out how my student best learns.
