Logan: Henderson tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a student with graduate level experience working toward my PhD in cellular biology. I have bachelor's of science degrees in both cellular biology and psychology, and I was awarded the Grace Thomas Award for outstanding work in cellular biology from the University of Georgia. I currently study traumatic brain injury (TBI) at the University of South Florida as a research assistant. I have worked in nine different laboratories throughout my academic career, giving me hands-on experience in cellular biology, genetics, biochemistry, and neuroscience. I hope to help students understand science by taking complicated subject matter and distilling it into plain English. I want to see every student succeed and have fun in their studies!

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is to treat every student with respect, and to provide the most clear-cut resources to fit the subject matter and needs of the individual student.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a first session with students, we would identify areas that need the most attention, and we would get to the root of why the subject matter might not be well understood.
