Certified Tutor

I am biologist with a strong academic background. After obtaining my Ph.D. in molecular biology, I have completed two postdoctoral trainings, at University of Massachusetts Medical School and at Harvard Medical School. I have eighteen publications in peer-reviewed journals, eight of them by the first author.

During my academic carrier as a molecular biologist, I have pursued many opportunities to teach.

During my Ph.D. program, I developed curriculums for both undergraduate and master students, and volunteered to give lectures in General Biology, as well as Cell and Molecular Biology. During my postdoctoral training I have mentored numerous undergraduate and graduate students, teaching them basics of cell biology and variety of laboratory techniques. My students received scholarships for Ph.D. programs in prestigious universities across the United States, such as University of Pittsburg, University of Utah, Brown and Northwestern Universities.

Beyond teaching University students, I used to work with high school students, leading an extra-curriculum club in biology, as well as coaching them for science Olympiads.

I am also nature enthusiast, and four-season volunteer backcountry trip leader in Appalachian Mountain Club. I am leading day hikes to the mountains for children and their families, and I really enjoy teaching biology during my trips.

Now I pursue my passion for biology and teaching by working as a tutor.
