My love for tutoring come from having always been the top of my classes and helping family and friends with different subject areas so they can not only improve their grades, but also gain more confidence in regard to the subject in hand.
I am creative about approaching a student, determine his/her weakness that causes his/her low grade or lack of confidence and provide him/her with tools or techniques that help overcome the weakness and become very confident instead.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Help students increase their confidence as they master the fundamentals in the subject area.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Assess the student's level of knowledge in order to pinpoint the areas of weakness.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Help the student master the fundamentals and show him how to navigate through the resources available to him.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Make the student aware of his new skills and how far they can take him towards his goals.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Start from the fundamentals and together move to the actual concept.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
Take notes as they read the text and create an image of the story to identify the key points of the story they have read.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
Be friendly to the student so they can feel like they are working with their own brother and be more comfortable and relaxed.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
Take it easy, start from easiest test questions to the most challenging, then demonstrate to the student how to break down a challenging question to an easy one.
What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?
Test the student to make sure he is confident that his answers are correct.
How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?
Get the student to solve the most challenging questions by himself.
How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?
Listen to the student first to see what he thinks is his problem.

The lectures the student has and examples of quizzes.

Listen to the student first to let him express what he think he needs, and take it from there.
