Certified Tutor

I was born and raised in China. Mandarin is my native language and I speak English fluently. I earned Master's degrees of Sociology in both China and the U.S. Having taught at colleges and Chinese schools in the U.S., I have gained experiences in teaching adults and children in both private tutoring and large class settings. I have taught elementary students Mandarin, adult students Conversation. I believe that teaching is a process both instructor and students are integral part of the process. As an instructor, my job is to motivate students and provide them tools and tips for learning Chinese. Everyone is unique and so are their learning habits. My pedagogy will be adapted to meet student's needs. As a mother of a ten-year-old girl, I speak Chinese with my daughter everyday. We ride bikes, go to Jersey beach, and jog in parks in our spare time.
