I was born and raised in Paris by an American mother and a French father. During my high school years, I would give English tutoring lessons to children between 5 and 13 years old as a part time job. In 2013, I had the opportunity to travel to China where I've also worked for a month in Shanghai as an English teacher assistant and private tutor. I find to be very comfortable with children as I am an enthusiastic person and naturally patient.

I enjoy cooking and learning traditional recipes from all around the world, interior designing and making my own jewelry.
What is your teaching philosophy?
I always adapt my teaching methods based on the person who's learning and try to find the way that's most meaningful to him or her.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I always try to get to know the student first, understand why they are interested in learning a particular subject and what goals they are trying to achieve.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Give them a learning method that is interesting and meaningful to THEM.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
I like to teach in an entertaining and interactive way. It doesn't have to be all textbook; I think it's important to always relate the subject to their everyday lives and give examples that are most meaningful to them.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
I would try to find where exactly he or her is having a hard time grasping the concept and go over it step by step by giving meaningful examples.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
I would go back to the basics to make sure they master them and perhaps give them a vocabulary list of the words they are having struggle with.
