Certified Tutor
I believe that, given the right equipment, anyone is capable of learning just about anything. I aim to provide my students with tools for developing ideas and organization in order to help them become more confident and comfortable with the writing process.
I have a master's degree in Applied Linguistics/TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the University of Illinois Chicago, and I have taught essay writing and ESL courses for the last five years. I am comfortable with students from all language backgrounds and levels of fluency.
I have learned that identifying a learner's talents is as important as figuring out what issues each person needs to work on.
As with so many things in life, cooperation is necessary for success. I aim to work with my students in ways that enrich us both while keeping our common goals in mind.
