Certified Tutor

I was raised and educated in France in a Franco-American family. Constantly engaged in a dialogue between French and English language and between French and American culture, I have been able to build up a cross-cultural identity that enables me to exchange and interact very smoothly with people from multiple origins. I received a Bachelor degree in Political Science, Art History, and Studio Art from Sciences Po Paris, with a one-year program at Vassar College. At Vassar College, I tutored college students on a one-on-one basis to help them improve their spoken and written French language abilities. I also held 5 to 7 students discussion classes in French for intermediate and advanced levels as well as drill sessions for beginners. I also tutored elementary school and middle school students on a one-on-one basis either to expose them to French language and culture or to complete what they were studying in class. I like to engage in a dialogue that goes beyond the structural handling of French language, broadening the student's scope through the exposure to French visual art and culture. I use various methods and media to assist the learning process ranging from video clips to news articles. My focuses are art, culture, and political news, but my teaching is very flexible, and I can adapt to the needs and interests of my students. I am very fun and dynamic, and I love to exchange with people!
