Certified Tutor

I am a recent graduate of SUNY Binghamton. I majored in Biology and will be starting dental school at the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine this August. As a student at Binghamton University, I was involved in various clubs and organizations on campus. I was a part of my school's Bhangra dance team which is a traditional Indian folk dance team that performs at campus events as well as inter-collegiate competitions. In addition, I was a teaching assistant for the Chemistry Department and a campus tour guide. Thus, I love to meet new people and help them out however I can whether it be walking them through the dining halls on campus or sitting down and explaining the Periodic Table of the Elements. I was also the President of the Hindu Students Council and helped to coordinate our annual Holi festival which has grown to be one of the biggest and most anticipated events of the year on campus. Over this past year, I was also the President of my service-based fraternity in which we raised money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) through various philanthropy events and was recently given the award for Most Outstanding Chapter President. Lastly, I was involved in a group known as BU Science where groups of students from Binghamton University would go to local elementary schools and teach weekly science lessons and conduct experiments with students ranging in the K to 4th grade levels. As a Biology major, I have always been a strong math and science student. I especially love teaching math because I believe that there are many teachable moments to be had when learning math which can help both students and myself as a tutor grow and learn beyond just basic math skills. In addition, I have had some great teachers and professors in my time as a student and hope to give back what they taught me to those who are learning these subjects now. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
