Certified Tutor

I earned my master's degree in Art History from the University of Oregon and my bachelor's in Art from Webster University. I currently teach at a local community college and volunteer at The Getty Center. I find it deeply rewarding to engage with learners from a wide spectrum of backgrounds and cultures. For many of my students, English is not their first language so I have become adept at conveying complex ideas in a variety of ways and effectively gauging their understanding before moving on to the next concept. My primary goal in working with students is two-fold: to inspire curiosity and to empower them with skills for a lifetime of academic success. In my spare time I am an avid runner and am learning to play the viola.
