Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). I received two associate's degrees in computer science with a focus on programming and networking. I began tutoring during my second year of studies. Since graduation, I have continued to tutor as an employee of MATC and am currently an Educational Assistant in the Academic Support Center computer lab where I help students in a wide array of subjects, mostly dealing with computer literacy and software usage, but will often test the limits of my knowledge in other subjects. I am an advanced Microsoft Office user and I can help troubleshoot most programming languages even if I am unfamiliar with the language. I am comfortable with Visual Basic, C/C++ and have been exposed to Java, C# and other scripting languages. I have used all major operating systems including all versions of Windows and I am familiar with Mac OSX and Linux. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about database management with SQL and Microsoft Office. My goal with any student is to not just get them through a difficult course but also give them the skills needed to succeed in any class by reinforcing basic concepts and study skills. In my spare time, I enjoy reading for both fun and knowledge but spend much of my free time with music, whether playing, performing, making records, or just listening.
