I graduated from Wright State University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in psychology, along with a master's degree in behavioral psychology from University of Houston-Clear Lake. Throughout my academic career, I have tutored fellow colleagues inmathematics. While studying, I realized I would like to be in the education field so I sought out an education program. I have been teaching for 10 years and highly familiar with working with students the require IEP, 504, autism, dyslexia and learning disorder. My favorite subject to teach/tutor is Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II for it has more meaning in the real world situations and students are able to grasp on the concept and apply it. In the end, the student has a true understanding why we are learning mathematics and how to apply it to real-world scenarios.

My unique perspective has allowed me to help students that I have worked with to overcome their anxieties and confusion with math. I have noticed that people can become frustrated with mathematics. This field tend to be more challenging because they build off preceding lessons, missing one block could consequently lead to the foundation being unstable and ultimately crumbling. I have the capability to break the material down and present it to which you can relate and understand. I also have experience tutoring those with ADD/ADHD.
