Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of The University of California at Davis. I received a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Using the knowledge and skills gained through my education I have had the opportunity to do research at the VA Hospital on prostate cancer, present at and attend symposiums, and participate in the research and design of signaling protein antibody markers, to name a few things. I have a passion for the sciences and truly enjoy sharing that passion and helping others understand the world around them. I have a deep appreciation of education and the countless doors it can unlock. I try to instill that appreciation in the students that I have the opportunity to help. I take a "concept driven" approach in tutoring and focus on building a strong understanding of the principals of the subject matter, that way any question concerning that subject can be logically reasoned through and answered with confidence. Outside of learning I love to, run, cook, and bake; I enjoy watching and playing sports, and the outdoors (camping, fishing, the beach, hiking).
