Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology. I received my Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences with a Pre-Medical concentration, and I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I am working towards obtaining my M.D. Degree and hope to become a doctor in our growing scientific community.

I have four years worth of professional and non-professional tutoring experience. I was employed by the New York Institute of Technology to tutor fellow students in subjects such as Calculus, General Biology, Physics, Organic Chemistry, Human Physiology, Embryology, Histology and Statistical Analysis. I have extensive one-on-one tutoring experience, small group (2-5 students) tutoring experience and classroom setting tutoring experience. I have worked with high school and college students, as well as elementary and middle school children in the subjects of math and science. All of my students have demonstrated great improvement in their test scores and showed a much better understanding of the material. I primarily use visual methods during my tutoring session such as charts, pictures, diagrams, colors and most importantly, organization, to give my students a better understanding of subject. However, I am very flexible with my teaching, and I am dedicated in creating a very personalized method that works best for each individual student. I truly believe that patience and hard work are the keys to success, and combined with the right tools anyone can overcome any obstacles they find while trying to further their education.

While I do tutor many subjects, my personal favorite has to be Biology/Anatomy/Physiology and Genetics. I am fascinated by the human body and its complexity. That is actually the reason I chose the M.D. Route. I am always yearning to learn more, and I hope to pass that enthusiasm onto my students as well. When I'm not tutoring, I both act in theatre productions and sing with my A Cappella group. I also love reading, writing and drawing.
