Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Lincoln University, PA. I received my Bachelor of Science in
Physics with a minor in mathematics. Since graduation, I have worked in the various areas of engineering. I began in civil and structural engineering, working as a bridge inspector. Through my college fraternity, I have always volunteered to tutor to local students in need. IN 2009 I began teaching 6-12 grade math students and as a math and science professor in the city of Philadelphia and surrounding counties. It was brought to my attention that I had an likable personality and my teaching methods appeared more clear than traditional methods. I prefer to use as many hands on or real life application as possible to get the student to not only understand the material, but to give them an idea of what it may look like. I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about elementary, middle school math, Algebra 1 & 2, and Geometry. I also enjoy tutoring in physics. In my experience helping struggling students overcome their fear or anxiety of the subject matter. Once I over come that hurdle, the material becomes easier for the student to understand and we see great advancements. As a parent and educator, I am a strong proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my
students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, playing chess, listening to music, working out, basketball, and golf.
the game of ice hockey.
