I've always enjoyed learning. As a tutor, I want to help my students enjoy it, too. I've got an MS in Chemical Engineering and an M. Div from a theological seminary, so I'm comfortable with a wide range of academic topics. I love working one-on-one with students because it allows me to find creative ways to help them master new concepts. My teaching style is all about helping students problem solve so that the end result is not only a better grasp of a subject but also a stronger sense of self-empowerment anytime they tackle something new.
I grew up in Lake Tahoe, CA, where my winters were spent in skis and my summers were spent in swimsuits. I also enjoy hiking, soccer, and just about anything else that involves being outside. I'm a recent transplant from California, so on a rainy day, you'll probably find me inside with a cup of tea and a movie or a good book.
