Certified Tutor
Hi, my name is Chris. Great to meet you. I am a philosopher and writer from Seattle, and I am passionate about teaching.
I served as a teaching assistant for two years at the University of Washington, where I was awarded a commendation from the Dean of Arts and Sciences for exemplary teaching. I have taught courses as diverse as Introduction to Logic to Philosophy of Religion to Contemporary Moral Problems.
Now I am excited to help students of all ages with a variety of subjects including GRE, SAT, and ACT test prep, as well as English (reading, writing, proofreading, vocabulary, etc.) and Humanities.
I view tutoring as a collaborative process that should be fun and engaging. I am a supportive teacher, and I strive to make course materials resonate with my students' interests and experiences. I am a caring and challenging professional, and I would very much like the chance to work with you.
In my free time, I can be found in the bike lane or in one of Wallingford's many great coffee shops.
