I grew up here in Houston, TX. I was home schooled from 3rd grade all the way to graduation in 2005. I attended Lone Star College to complete the core curriculum and transferred to University of Houston - Downtown in Summer 2010. I graduated December 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics.

I love helping others with math and getting a glimpse of how different students learn. Too many times in math courses, students are overloaded with definitions and theorems and sent off to apply them alone. I understand that not everyone can read math and sometimes need to see math in use in order to understand a concept well.
I'm all about learning, rather than memorizing. Math builds on itself so if a concept is simply memorized, the student will have trouble again. My way of teaching is solidifying the basics before advancing, rather than rushing through topics.
