Tutoring review by Richard in Northbrook, IL
We reviewed the material for the student's final, so we covered almost all of the subjects from the semester. We spent a good amount of time working on the Lorentz Equations and frame of reference problems. The student is getting very good at using the different equations, specifically knowing which equations to use for a given problem.

Tutoring review by Meredith in Northbrook, IL
The student's English class is still reading Romeo and Juliet, and we spent the majority of our time focusing on that.  She has worksheets for each act which require her to define vocab and literary terms, as well as answer questions.  She finished up the Act 2 packet and began the one for Act 3.  We also discussed the text and what has been happening so far in the play.  She also had some homework in Geography and Spanish.  We talked about making a study plan for her final exams.  She knows what will be covered on her Geography and Spanish exams, but not on the English, Math, and Physics finals.  Geography will be comprehensive, but Spanish will only cover the last two chapters covered in class.  She agreed to talk with her teachers this week to find out about the other exams so we can allocate study time more efficiently.

Reviewed first test.  The student scored 20 points better on this test than on his June test. We also went over calculator tips and programs for quadratic equations, midpoint formula, and parametric equations. We reviewed logarithms, combinations and permutations, and trig identities--the areas which he struggled most in on this test.

Tutoring review by Erika in Northbrook, IL
We went over her history notes and made flashcards for her quiz that she has tomorrow. I showed her some other studying habits and quizzed her on some of the material. I helped her with her Italian homework. I corrected an essay that she wrote for her Italian class and helped with her presentation.

Tutoring review by Travis in Northbrook, IL
The student and I reviewed polar coordinates and finding the area of polar curves. He had a little difficulty understanding the difference between negative and positive values of 'r', but I think he understands them now. He has a good understanding of the area formula. The most difficult thing is setting up the integral and determining the proper bounds by analyzing the points of intersection.
