We went over Article 2 and 12th amendment of the constitution. The student knew his material and it was a great discussion. I gave him pointers on answering questions and advice on how to interpret the Constitution.

The student and I studied for her final exam. We covered complex curve problems by graphing from the equation, and how to find the equation from the graph. We also went over logarithms and reviewed their basic properties.

We did a complete review over everything we had done this far. He worked problems over different strategies for differentiating, including implicit. We went over concavity as well.

Continued working on solving trigonometric equations, completed a packet on equations with the sum/difference of angles, derived the double angle formulas, and completed exercises in which trigonometric equalities were proven.

The student and I had a very focused tutoring session. We met at a coffee shop and started by tutoring around history. We took facts that she had written down and distilled them into conversational topics. After that, we focused on her English paper. I'm very proud of her for pushing through, even though these topics aren't her favorite. We do need to continue focusing on a few things.

This was our first session. We first reviewed topics from the previous section that she had issues with. I tried to clear up any misconception she had about them and I will continue to do so next week when she gets back her test. We then worked through her worksheet assignments and covered such topics as dimensional analysis, graph analysis as well basic concepts of average speed, velocity, displacement, etc. For additional practice, I will send her supplemental practice problems to work on. She was engaged and receptive to learning during the session.
