We continued working on basic trig functions and its applications. The student understood the concepts for the most part. I then gave him some tips to check his work to ensure proper work and reduction of typos. The student has a quiz on Monday.

In class, the student had started looking at pi circle. We first went over how to recreate it by only remembering the fractions for 45 degrees and 30 degrees.
The student wanted to look ahead to work on a couple of assignments for the upcoming week. The assignment we looked at had her finding the sin, cos, tan, csc, sec, and cot.

The student and I began the review for his final. We covered 4 sections today on quadratic and linear functions. I assigned him homework for our next session. We also went over the problems that he did wrong on the last test. He could have made a much higher grade. We are scheduled to meet on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday to review for the final.

In this session the student worked on another assignment from the same chapter as the last one, which is due next Tuesday. We went over some misconceptions she had and then tackled the previous problems that she found challenging.

Today the student and I went over her review for her exam. I had her do a number of practice problems and quizzed her on key terms. She seems to understand the concepts. She is doing better on her quizzes, too. She made a 93 on her last quiz. Feel free to reach out with any concerns.

We discussed index notation, how to construct the real number system based on operations (addition--> counting numbers, subtraction--> integers, division-->rational numbers, etc.), and inductive logic as a way of using index notation.
We also discussed rectangular approximation methods for definite integrals.
